Mustang: An American Icon — Immersive Experience | Environment Designer & 3D Artist

I worked as a freelance environment designer on Mustang: An American Icon, a large-scale immersive experience produced in collaboration with Studio Dandelion and Burdock. The project comprised two fully immersive 360-degree projection-mapped rooms, each built around a physical Ford Mustang and designed to transport audiences through the car's iconic legacy.

My role spanned asset creation, 3D modelling in Blender and Substance Painter, and the development of sprawling, cinematic environments built using Procedural Scene Components in Unreal Engine 5. Across both rooms I contributed to a wide range of environments — from a 1960s Detroit factory floor and the buzz of the World's Fair, to sun-soaked stretches of Santa Monica and Venice Beach, a golden-hour Hollywood Boulevard, and high-speed sequences set along the Pacific Coast Highway and through an LA street race. Each scene demanded a careful balance of historical authenticity, visual scale, and real-time performance to hold up across full 360-degree projection surfaces with a live audience.

The project pushed the boundaries of what real-time environment work can achieve in a physical, experiential context and stands as one of the most ambitious and rewarding productions I've been part of.
